What is Sole Balms ?

Sole Balms is a premium sneaker care brand founded in 2020 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With our love for sneaker culture, we are dedicated to creating safe and effective sneaker care products to care for your precious footwear. Because we believe if we clean our sneaker better, we can wear them longer.

Is Sole Balms Premium Shoe Cleaner (PSC) safe ?

Yes! it is safe on all materials including suede, nubuck, premium leather, mesh, cotton, etc. This is our top priority when formulating our cleaning solution. The only cleaner that is suitable for all materials.

NOTE: When cleaning high quality leather, suede, nubuck, cotton fabric and other delicate materials, be extra careful and gentle. We strongly recommend combining our PSC with our Premium Cleaning Brush. The softer nylon bristles are suitable for delicate surfaces.

What is Sole Balms Premium Shoe Cleaner (PSC) made of ?

This product is made from natural soaps derived from coconut oils and palm oils.

What is the difference between Sole Balms Premium Shoe Cleaner (PSC) vs Easy Foam Cleaner (EFC) ?

PSC is a 100% pure cleaning solution that must be mixed with water to produce the foaming effect of cleaning. EFC is a mixture of cleaning solution and distilled water and can be used immediately. The EFC is suitable for quick and regular cleaning and is recommended for cleaning suede and nubuck material where less water is needed. The PSC is recommended for deep cleaning usage, where it can clean more pairs of sneaker as compared to the EFC.

What is Sole Balms Cleaning Brush is made of ?

Our Standard Shoe Cleaning Brush is made of beach wood handle and tough polypropylene (PP) bristles. While our Premium Shoe Cleaning Brush is made of beach wood handle and soft nylon bristles. Both brush are made of Halal materials.

What is Sole Balms Midsole Cream use for ?

Our midsole cream is the perfect solution for your midsole yellowing issue. Our Midsole Cream works great at whitening your yellowed rubber midsole to white again with the help of UV light.

Can Sole Balms Midsole Cream be used for yellowish fabric material ?

Nope! Our midsole cream is only suitable for rubber materials. To reduce yellowing on fabric material, we recommend using our Premium Shoe Cleaner and warm water.

What causes yellowing on sneakers ?

Midsoles made from synthetic rubber and/or plastic actually bleed plasticizer and coalescence, which over time react with the natural alkaline in soils and turn the sole yellow. Keeping your sneaker in a box or closed area without proper air flow can lead to yellowing too. That is why regular cleaning and proper shoe storage are mandatory to maintain your sneaker for the long run.

What is the right way to clean suede or nubuck to prevent color bleeding ?

To clean dyed suede or nubuck materials, start with a dry brush off the sneaker to remove loose dirt. Next, use our Suede and Nubuck Care Kit for pre-treatment. After that, use our Easy Foam Cleaner and Premium Cleaning Brush to clean any remaining tough stains. Dap the shoe with a microfiber towel and air dry. Once dry, brush back and forth using a suede brush to bring back the buttery texture on the suede surface.
